House Bill 2235 amends Section 406.004 of Texas Government Code requiring the Secretary of State to revoke a notary public’s commission or reject their application at any time if the notary is found to be ineligible to serve.
Section 406.009 of the Bill is also amended to remove, “a final conviction for a crime involving moral turpitude” as a definition of “good cause.”
