The following resources provide useful information that Texas notaries may need throughout their commission. We also encourage you to consider a membership into the American Society of Notaries. QUALIFICATIONS TO RENEW YOUR TEXAS NOTARY COMMISSION
In order to renew as a notary public in Texas, you must meet the following requirements:
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be a legal resident of the State of Texas
- Texas escrow agents who are residents of an adjoining state are eligible for appointment as a Texas notary
• Have not received a conviction for a crime involving moral turpitude or a felony
STEPS TO RENEW YOUR TEXAS NOTARY COMMISSION

Select your notary package, complete the interactive notary commission form, select any additional products you desire and submit your payment online. Your instructions will be available for download at the end of checkout. Payment by check not available online.
We will electronically transmit your information and bond details to the Texas Secretary of State for processing on the first eligible date.
Upon acceptance of your online application and bond, you will receive an email to create your account on the State of Texas' website to confirm your information, upload additional requested documents (if applicable) and sign your Statement of Officer. Please be aware that you will not be recognized as a notary public until you complete this step and received your commission certificate.
We will mail your customized stamp and other supplies within 3 business days after we receive confirmation of your commission. All Notary Public Underwriters Agency stamps and seals come with a Lifetime Guarantee.
