Notary Public Underwriters and the American Society of Notaries have designed their new, informative 4-hour online Signing Agent Training Course* to impart a functional understanding of the Notary Signing Agent’s role as a lawful and ethical Notary first and foremost, one who is also a trained specialist and sole proprietor businessperson.
For a Notary Signing Agent to gain a foothold in this vast field, it is essential they understand and adhere to industry standards and best practices. This Signing Agent Training Course provides knowledge of Notary law and fundamentals, ethical conduct, the importance of good organization, essential tools, setting up your home office, business structure, document procedures, and familiarizing yourself with the most common loan documents that a borrower executes (signs) at a loan closing
At the end of the course, the Notary has the opportunity to take a Notary Signing Agent Certification Exam**, at no additional cost. If passed, this will earn the Notary the American Society of Notaries Certified Signing Agent designation.
Our online Signing Agent Course, with audible narration, is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A notary can complete it at their own pace in the convenience of their home or office. The fee is $89.
*This course is not a substitute for any state-required training to obtain a Notary Public commission.
**An active Notary commission is required for the examination. Non-notaries may take this course, then take the exam after obtaining a commission.
