QUALIFICATIONS TO BECOME A NEBRASKA NOTARY PUBLIC
In order to become a notary public in Nebraska, you must meet the following requirements:
• Be at least 19 years of age
• Be a Nebraska resident, or reside in a bordering state and can present evidence of employment in Nebraska
• Must not have been convicted of a felony or a crime involving fraud or dishonesty within the previous five years
• Must successfully pass a written notary examination provided by the Nebraska Secretary of State's office
