The following are the most common questions asked by our customers regarding notary education. However, if your question is not listed below, feel free to contact us to receive an answer to your question.
If I let my Florida notary commission lapse, do I need to take the Florida notary education course?
You are not required to take the Florida notary training course if you previously held a Florida notary public commission within the past 10 years. However, we would strongly recommend that you do so as there have been changes in Florida notary law over the past several years. Our online Florida notary education course is approved by the State of Florida.
Do I take the Florida notary training course if I was a notary in another state?
Yes. If your previous commission was not in Florida, you do have to take the Florida notary training course. This is a requirement of Florida law. Our online, Florida notary education course is approved by the State of Florida.
I submitted my Florida notary application. Should I send you my Florida notary education completion certificate?
Yes, all first-time applicants must provide a copy of their signed education course certificate, before their application can be processed. You should be able to access your certificate by logging into your profile and selecting education courses. From there, you will see a button labelled "Download Certificate". Simply click on that button and your Florida notary education completion certificate should generate. Print, sign and send your certificate to This email address is being protected from spambots. Is there a Florida notary test? How long is it and where do I learn the material?
The Florida Online Notary Education Course that is required by the State of Florida does NOT have a test. It contains Florida notary statutes and standards that you must read through. The Florida notary course should take approximately 3 hours to complete depending on how fast you read. Unavoidable interruptions sometimes happen; our Florida Online Notary Education Course allows you to start, stop and return to finish whenever you want, from any computer.
